Ironbridge Christmas Lights and the Switch On Event is organised by local volunteers and funded by The Gorge Parish Council and local businesses with contributions from the following businesses to whom we are most grateful:
- Pleydell Smithyman
- Ironbridge Gift Emporium
- The White Hart
- Ironbridge Fine Arts
- Red Kite Network Ltd
- The Tontine
Many other businesses hosted collection boxes that raised over £275.
A Raffle has been organised by the Ironbridge Business Consortium and tickets can be bought from the Post Office and the Co-Op. The proceeds of the raffle help finance the event.
The Switch On Event takes place on Saturday 25th November.
Here’s the run down –
5.30 – festive songs with Helen Pearson
6.00 – Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge School Choir and if we’re lucky, Santa might arrive
6.30 – acapella singer Hannah May
7.00 – countdown, switch on and fireworks followed by more festive songs.
The shops, bars and cafes will be open, including a pop up shop selling fantastic gift ideas made by local artists and crafters. So you can start your Christmas shopping too.
